About Jack Trama

For more than twenty-five years, I have sat with entrepreneurs at the exact moment a decision turns into a commitment—that point where the logic says "go," but the hesitation steps in.

I saw this pattern first as a business broker. I watched buyers and sellers navigate the final stretch of a deal, only to see solid opportunities evaporate just before the signature. Sometimes the numbers didn’t hold up, but more often, it was the weight of the decision itself; the realization that once the choice was made, there was no going back.

Over the last decade, I’ve seen this same hesitation repeat across every level of business. Whether it’s a million-dollar acquisition or a high-level coaching investment, the pattern is identical. It starts as "due diligence"—researching, scrutinizing, and reopening the debate—until the momentum dies.

My work is about getting those decisions finished.

By the time a project or a deal slows down, the issue isn’t information. It’s what comes with committing: the risk, the capital, and the shift in control. That shift matters more than timing or cost, because it changes the trajectory of the business and the person running it.

I don't just identify the patterns of delay; I navigate people through them. Whether I am hosting discovery calls for growth-focused companies or coaching an entrepreneur through a high-stakes move, the goal is to close the gap between analyzing and deciding.

I created Decisive Move to provide the clarity and the framework for this process:

The Overthinking Tax™ is the book. It identifies the patterns behind delay, the literal cost of an unmade decision, and how to move forward once the answer is already clear.

Decide in 5™ is the framework. It is the system built around pre-set criteria and a fixed timeline to reach a decision without reopening the debate or second-guessing the facts.

The Podcast is the evidence. I document real decisions as they happen to show exactly where they stall and what finally moves them forward.

Today, I work one-on-one with entrepreneurs who have a decision sitting at "almost done" and need to get it to finished.
